TradeZella vs TraderSync (2026) Price, Features and Who Each Suits

A neutral side by side of two of the biggest trading journals: what each costs, what each does best, and who should pick which. Prices checked November 2026.

Reviewed on TrustPilot

Short answer: pick TradeZella if your review revolves around replaying sessions, playbooks and prop firm accounts, and you are happy to pay for Pro. Pick TraderSync if you want an AI assistant in chat, market replay and a free journal to start on, usually at a discounted price. Both are built for discretionary traders. If your trades come from an algo or rule based strategy, see the section on when neither fits.

We make Tessera, which competes with both, so this page sticks to facts each vendor publishes. Prices and features were checked on each vendor's own pages as of November 2026, in US dollars before tax.

Who TradeZella is best for

TradeZella suits discretionary day traders who want a structured review habit. Trade Replay lets you watch a session unfold again, playbooks give your setups a shape, and Zella AI and Zella Agents tag trades and review sessions for you on Pro and Ultra. Sync across 500 plus brokers and prop firms, with up to 50 accounts on Pro, makes it a natural fit if you trade several prop firm evaluations.

The catch is price. Most of what people choose TradeZella for starts on Pro, at $59 a month or $44 billed yearly, and there is no free plan or trial listed.

Who TraderSync is best for

TraderSync suits traders who want an AI assistant to talk through their history, plus market replay practice. Cypher reviews trades in chat, with message limits that rise by plan. Market replay precision improves from Pro to Elite, and the backtester runs ideas on historical data.

It is also the easier one to try. There is a free journal with limited file imports, and the paid plans are usually discounted on the pricing page, so check the price you would actually pay.

Where they differ most

  • Getting started: TraderSync has a free journal. TradeZella lists no free plan or trial.
  • Replay: both replay past sessions. TradeZella keeps replay to Pro and above. TraderSync includes replay on every paid plan, with finer precision higher up.
  • AI: TradeZella meters Zella AI by credits and adds agents on Pro. TraderSync meters Cypher by messages.
  • Accounts: TradeZella's account limits (1, 50, unlimited) are clear on its pricing page, which matters for prop firm traders.
  • Price you pay: compare TradeZella Pro at $44 to $59 against whatever discount TraderSync is showing on the plan you need.

When neither fits: algo and systematic traders

Neither product tests a rule change on the trades you already took, and neither exports a tested rule to TradingView. Their backtesting and replay work on historical charts, which is good for practising discretionary setups but answers a different question from "what would my strategy have returned if it skipped Friday afternoons?".

That is the gap Tessera is built for. It imports live trades and backtests from IBKR, OANDA, cTrader, Binance, MT4 and MT5 reports, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Hyperliquid and the TradingView Strategy Tester, breaks results down by session, weekday, volatility regime and time, and tests a rule change on those exact trades with the simulator. Rules that hold up become versioned policies that export to Pine Script.

How these facts were checked

Prices, plans and features come from TradeZella's and TraderSync's own pricing and product pages, checked in November 2026. TraderSync's displayed prices change with promotions, so we quote list prices. We have not run both products side by side on the same account, and feature names follow each vendor's own wording.
