TradeZella vs Edgewonk (2026) Price, Features and Who Each Suits

A neutral side by side of a replay first journal and a psychology first one: what each costs, what each does best, and who should pick which. Prices checked November 2026.

Reviewed on TrustPilot

Short answer: pick TradeZella if you review by replaying sessions, organise your trading into playbooks or run several prop firm accounts. Pick Edgewonk if discipline is your biggest leak, you want to test different exits on your real entries, and you want the lower price. If your trades come from an algo or rule based strategy, see the section on when neither fits.

We make Tessera, which competes with both, so this page sticks to facts each vendor publishes. Prices and features were checked on each vendor's own pages as of November 2026, in US dollars before tax.

Who TradeZella is best for

TradeZella suits discretionary day traders who want a guided review routine. Trade Replay lets you watch a session again, playbooks give your setups structure, and Zella AI and Zella Agents tag trades and review sessions on Pro and Ultra. Up to 50 accounts on Pro makes it a fit for traders running several prop firm evaluations.

Most of those features start on Pro, at $59 a month or $44 billed yearly, and there is no free plan or trial listed.

Who Edgewonk is best for

Edgewonk suits discretionary traders, especially forex traders on MetaTrader, whose biggest problem is discipline. The Tiltmeter, psychology fields and checklists grade rule adherence, and Alternative Strategy Testing replays different stops, targets and management on the entries you actually took.

It is the cheaper of the two: every feature on both plans, $35 a month or $197 for 12 months, with a 14 day money back guarantee.

Where they differ most

  • Review style: TradeZella is about watching sessions again and following playbooks. Edgewonk is about grading behaviour and testing exits.
  • Price: Edgewonk's 12 month plan is about $16.40 a month for everything. TradeZella's comparable feature set is on Pro, at $44 to $59 a month.
  • What-if testing: Edgewonk changes exits on your real entries. TradeZella's backtesting works on historical charts.
  • Accounts and imports: TradeZella syncs far more brokers and prop firms. Edgewonk's strongest sync is MetaTrader.
  • AI: TradeZella has Zella AI and agents. AI is not a headline Edgewonk feature.

When neither fits: algo and systematic traders

Neither product filters your past entries by market condition to show what a rule change would have done, and neither exports a tested rule to TradingView. Edgewonk's exit testing is close, but every entry stays in. TradeZella's backtesting tests new trades on old charts rather than the trades your strategy took.

That is the gap Tessera is built for. It imports live trades and backtests from IBKR, OANDA, cTrader, Binance, MT4 and MT5 reports, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Hyperliquid and the TradingView Strategy Tester, breaks results down by session, weekday, volatility regime and time, and tests entry filters and exit changes on those exact trades with the simulator. Rules that hold up become versioned policies that export to Pine Script.

How these facts were checked

Prices, plans and features come from TradeZella's and Edgewonk's own pricing and product pages, checked in November 2026. We have not run both products side by side on the same account, and feature names follow each vendor's own wording.
