Edgewonk vs TraderSync (2026) Price, Features and Who Each Suits

A neutral side by side of a psychology first journal and an AI first one: what each costs, what each does best, and who should pick which. Prices checked November 2026.

Reviewed on TrustPilot

Short answer: pick Edgewonk if your biggest leak is discipline, you trade forex on MetaTrader, and you are happy to pay for 12 months up front to get the best price. Pick TraderSync if you want an AI assistant in chat, market replay and a free journal to start on. If your trades come from an algo or rule based strategy, see the section on when neither fits.

We make Tessera, which competes with both, so this page sticks to facts each vendor publishes. Prices and features were checked on each vendor's own pages as of November 2026, in US dollars before tax.

Who Edgewonk is best for

Edgewonk suits discretionary traders, especially forex traders on MetaTrader, who want to work on discipline. The Tiltmeter puts a number on rule breaking, psychology fields and checklists grade each trade, and Alternative Strategy Testing replays different stops, targets and management on the entries you actually took.

Pricing is simple: every feature on both plans, $35 a month or $197 for 12 months (about $16.40 a month), with a 14 day money back guarantee. There is no free plan.

Who TraderSync is best for

TraderSync suits traders who want an AI assistant to talk through their history and a place to practise. Cypher reviews trades in chat, market replay lets you step through past sessions with precision that rises by plan, and the backtester runs ideas on historical data. Broker sync is broad and covers stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto.

There is a free journal with limited file imports, and paid plans are usually discounted on the pricing page.

Where they differ most

  • Focus: Edgewonk is about behaviour and exits on your own trades. TraderSync is about AI review, replay and practice.
  • What-if testing: Edgewonk's Alternative Strategy Testing changes exits on your real entries. TraderSync's tools test on historical charts instead.
  • Pricing model: Edgewonk has one feature set and two billing periods. TraderSync has three tiers, with replay precision and AI limits rising by tier.
  • Getting started: TraderSync has a free journal. Edgewonk has a 14 day money back guarantee instead.
  • Imports: both sync MetaTrader. TraderSync syncs more brokers. Edgewonk brings many platforms in by file.

When neither fits: algo and systematic traders

Neither product filters your past entries by market condition to show what a rule change would have done, and neither exports a tested rule to TradingView. Edgewonk comes closest, because it changes exits on your real trades, but it leaves every entry in.

That is the gap Tessera is built for. It imports live trades and backtests from IBKR, OANDA, cTrader, Binance, MT4 and MT5 reports, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Hyperliquid and the TradingView Strategy Tester, breaks results down by session, weekday, volatility regime and time, and tests entry filters and exit changes on those exact trades with the simulator. Rules that hold up become versioned policies that export to Pine Script.

How these facts were checked

Prices, plans and features come from Edgewonk's and TraderSync's own pricing and product pages, checked in November 2026. TraderSync's displayed prices change with promotions, so we quote list prices. We have not run both products side by side on the same account, and feature names follow each vendor's own wording.
